During the 2023 legislative session, Oklahoma passed House Bill 2456 (section 6-204of the Employment Security Act) which reestablishes the 5% allocation of state unemployment tax dollars to a UI Technology Fund. Beginning January 1, 2024, OESC's quarterly reporting of unemployment tax contributions will reflect this apportionment. Employers should take steps to ensure their federal unemployment tax credit is reduced accordingly.
